After 10 weeks of intense show from 28 housemates, ‘Phyna’ Otabor last night emerged winner of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 7, smiling home with the ₦100 million grand prize.

Phyna edged out five other finalists – Bryan, Bella, Adekunle, Chichi and Daniella – to clinch the coveted status of winner of this year’s ‘Level Up’ season.

The 25-year-old got ₦50 million cash prize, a new SUV from Innoson Motors, a trip to Dubai for two, a year’s supply of Pepsi, a new Tecno Camon 19 phone, supply of Unik soap, and supply of home appliances from Nexus, among other mouth-watering prizes.

Before the announcement of her name as the reality show’s winner by the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Phyna said her journey in the Big Brother House had been an amazing and splendid one.

The show began on July 23 with 28 housemates who were subsequently evicted at different points during the show, while six housemates made it to the final.

After spending 72 days in the Big Brother House, Bryann emerged the first runner-up, while Bella was declared the second runner-up. Adekunle emerged as the third runner-up followed by Chichi and Daniella, respectively.

One of the housemates of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Bella, on Thursday, pleaded for a dinner date with her love interest in the House, Sheggz.

She made this plea during her diary session with Big Brother. She asked that Big Brother arrange a dinner date for her and Sheggz to help them to resolve their relationship issues.

Bella said, “This week, we need that dinner date because we are losing it, Big Brother, we are breaking up. It’s about to be over, everything is about to be over. We really need that dinner date. We need it as special and important as possible.”

Persuading Big Brother further, Bella said, “Big Brother, just give us five minutes for one night. It’s needed, we have been having disagreements every single day. This week has been the worst week. So that dinner date will be helpful.”

The show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, put Eloswag on the spot for a moment regarding his romantic life in the house.

Eloswag said, “I have already expressed my feelings, it’s left for her (Chomzy) to decide at this point.

The family of Big Brother Naija housemate, Kesiena Adjekpovu, also known as Kess, has revealed that his wife had a miscarriage.

The Delta State born who is married lost his son on the third day of the ‘level up’ edition.

A statement issued on his Instagram page on Thursday said his wife is in perfect condition.

”The past weeks have been most trying for the family of Adjepkovu. We are saddened by the loss of Kess’s son through a miscarriage but we are comforted by the well wishes and kind thoughts of friends around. Special regards to the wife for being strong and courageous through the whole experience,” the statement read.

The family also confirmed that the incident happened weeks ago, but they decided now is the right time to announce it.

”Kess is a strong character and would need our prayers right now as he continues his quest in the Bigbrother show. The family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you,” it added.
