1. Martin Luther King
He was the face and voice of the civil rights movement. Martin would serve as a martyr for the movement after he was killed in Memphis in 1968 while supporting striking black sanitary public works employees. He was shot while outside his hotel room.
2. Malcolm X
He was an African American nationalist and religious leader, was assassinated while addressing his Organization of Afro-American Unity at the Audubon Ballroom in Washington Heights on February 21, 1965, as his pregnant wife and four daughters took cover in the front row
3. Thomas Sankara
A political leader of Burkina Faso in the 1980s, As president, Sankara sought to end corruption, promote reforestation, avert famine, support women’s rights, develop rural areas, and prioritize education and healthcare.
On October 15, 1987, Thomas Sankara was killed with twelve other officials in a coup d’état instigated by Blaise Compaoré, his former political ally. He was 37 at the time of his death.
4. Patrice Lumumba
The first prime minister of the independent nation, the Republic of Congo. Lumumba’s scathing denunciation of colonialism ruffled feathers not only in Belgium but also in the United States and Great Britain.
Lumumba was subsequently overthrown by Col. Joseph Mobutu and placed under house arrest. He made the fateful attempt to escape He was apprehended by secessionist rebels and assassinated on January 18, 1961.
Lumumba became a martyr and symbol of Congolese and African freedom.
5. Fred Hampton
Fred Hampton, a leader for the Black Panther Party in Chicago, Illinois was killed in his apartment during a police raid while sleeping, unarmed in 1968. The police raid was in retaliation for previous shoot-out police had with members of the Black Panther Party.
6. Medgar Evers
Civil rights activist Medgar Evers was assassinated by Byron De La Beckwith, a member of the White Citizens Council. Evers was a World War II veteran who would become the Secretary of the NAACP in Mississippi helping to integrate the University of Mississippi.
7. Harry and Harriette Moore
Harry and Hariette Moore were a husband and wife team of civil rights activists and teachers who founded the NAACP in Brevard County, Florida. In 1951, the couple’s house was bombed and both of them were murdered.
8. Muammar Gaddafi
Libya was the world’s poorest country in 1951. Gaddafi made it Africa’s most developed country with $150 billion in foreign reserves & zero debt. Under him, Libya had one of the world’s strongest currencies and Libyans had interest-free loans.

He had plans to even introduce Gold Dinar to be used Across Africa. This was when the West came for him. Gaddafi Was Killed Because He Was In The Process Of Uniting Africa Through One Bank, One Currency, One Economy, and One military.
