Cristiano Ronaldo and his family return to Turin with a huge convoy of cars after jetting into Italy

The Juventus striker and his family arrived in Italy on Monday night after almost two months in Coronavirus lockdown in his native Portugal.

They landed in Turin Airport just after 10.20pm local time and were accompanied by a huge convoy of cars.

He will spend 14 days in quarantine before he can join up with his Juventus team-mates for training.


The Portuguese star had planned to return a day earlier but his private jet was unable to take off in Spain due to travel restrictions put in place because of Coronavirus. He and his family had to board the G650 Gulfstream in Madeira before enjoying a direct flight back to Turin.


His return to Italy came after Juventus called all of their stars back after the Italian government approved clubs returning to training. But Ronaldo and nine other overseas players will spend 14 days in quarantine and get tested for Coronavirus before they can join the rest of their team-mates for training.

Juventus was top of the Italian league with one point ahead of Lazio in second and nine clear of Inter Milan in third before football was suspended in March due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
